A special Rauh sibling collaboration inspired by the life and writing of Anne Morrow Lindbergh

Always a sucker for an epistolary tale or diary, I read Anne Morrow Lindbergh’s Bring Me a Unicorn when I was in High School. The entry that stays with me is when she’s on the phone with that new young hero, Charles Lindbergh, and says something she isn’t sure is interesting, recording his response as “…(audible smiling)…” I love that moment and the perfect expression of the anxious, hopeful, second-guessing thrill we feel when it’s almost ok if we embarrass ourself so long as it makes our crush smile.
